Rights in Civil Society - Section Two

Part Three

Appendix To The Philosophy Of Right —
The Better Construction Of Civil Society

Introduction

2577. At this point, the philosophy of Right comes to an end for us. But I cannot bring myself to drop the thread of these various branches of knowledge which, although methodologically separate, must not be regarded as different sciences. They form a single science, a single light of the mind diffused as it were throughout a vast space, a single wisdom. I see the glorious beauty of its image, its single light, its wisdom unfolded, imperfectly indeed, to my spirit. No books or words of mine — those lumbering, fragmented signs — can ever fittingly describe or faithfully convey it. Let me simply remind my readers before concluding this book on civil, social Right, of how far the work is from exhausting the science of civil society.
