Section Two

Governmental Right In Theocratic Society

[Introduction]

632. We must now speak about these rights of Christ and, at the same time, see what part of them he has communicated to the Church, the theocratic society he founded.

First, we have to examine more carefully the nature of theocratic society. The definition given at the beginning of our study is no longer sufficient by itself to ensure clarity and order in a discussion of such rights.

The present section, therefore, will contain two chapters. In the first, we shall consider the nature of theocratic society at its differing levels of formation, but especially at the final level to which it has been raised by Christ. In the second, we shall investigate right in this society.
